First thing first, I did not create this blog for the purpose of boasting the deeds I've done.
I am merely sharing it for the readers to enjoy. If they pick up a lesson or two from it, then it is a bonus..
This is nothing compared to what others can do. But isn't the great ocean started from a single drop of water?
I am one but still I am one.. I cannot do everything but I can do something..
One hot afternoon, I am on the way to my much needed lunchbreak, I happen to pass by these group of motorcycle guys having difficulty on removing the castellated nut in one of their bikes. They obviously have a flat tire.
I can see that they are having a hard time for they do not have the right tools to do the job..
My first thought was "Hey, why do I care? There's already seven of them there". So I went on my way and get my meal.
After I am done eating, they are still there discussing and messing it up under the hot sun.
So I butt my ass in and see what the problem was.
After inspection, I went to my bike and fetch the tools needed. I also bring one of my trusty fellow employee to help..
To make it short, I managed to get the nut removed (after a few cussing..)
The guys were thankful.
I told them that they already repaid me if they also help someone who obviously needed help.
A guy offered a drink. I refused. I just ate my lunch, right?
The essence of helping other people is not actually waiting for something in return..
Expecting something from people you helped will defeat that purpose..
Have a blessed day everyone!
